Malaysia: unpaid eVisa applications expire after seven business days

The Malaysia eVisa FAQ, updated 6 October 2026, states that files left in “New Application” or “Pending Payment” expire after seven business days. The MDAC remains a separate, free arrival card.

This update is available in English and French.

The official eVisa portal and its FAQ describe the single-entry and multiple-entry categories, the documents to upload, payment and download of the eVisa. Applications not completed within seven business days are closed and must be started again.

The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) is a separate online form; a consular notice lists the categories exempted from it. The MDAC page itself could not be read fully by our tools, so our checklist keeps the earlier reading date for it.
